If you’re planning a trip to Disney World, you’ve probably already decided on your hotel, the kind of park ticket you want, and even which advance dining reservations to get.
However, have you chosen HOW you’re getting to Disney World? So many of us fly, and the good news is that more nonstop flights get added to Orlando International Airport every month. So let’s look at the new nonstop flights that were announced for April 2024.
Frontier Airlines
- Punta Cana, Dominican Republic (resuming service)
Virgin Atlantic
- Edinburgh, Scotland (resuming service)
BermudAir
- Bermuda
Breeze Airways
- Lansing MI (starting 10/2)
- Bangor, Maine (starting 10/3)
- Lancaster, PA (starting 10/8)
However, we also have to mention that four airlines have actually recently ended flights to Orlando. Lynx Air ceased all operations in February, which included flights to Orlando. Spirit also halted nonstop flights out of Raleigh-Durham International Airport. Frontier Airlines recently stopped flights from Harrisburg International Airport in Pennsylvania. At the end of June 2024, JetBlue will no longer offer nonstop flights from Salt Lake City, UT.
Another airline, Avelo Airlines, has halted flights from Kalamazoo, MI, but it’s a seasonal hiatus and service is expected to continue at a later date.
If you do fly to Orlando International Airport, you’ll still need to arrange for transportation from the airport to your Disney World hotel. You have several options, including a public bus transportation option that goes to Disney Springs, rideshare services, car rental, and Mears Connect.
